Where the data lives.

tidemind runs at OVH in Germany. The AI calls go to OVH AI Endpoints in Frankfurt. Nothing you enter is used to train a model. Below is the full list of who processes what, including the one transfer outside the EU. It is the same list as in the privacy notice, in fewer words.

Every task manager has a privacy page. Most of them are a paragraph about caring, followed by a list of badges.

What you actually wanted to know is where the server stands, which company reads the mail, and whether your notes end up in a training set.

Those are three short answers. This page gives them and stops.

How it works

Settings. Each AI function has its own switch: off, suggest, automatic. Opening the section also lists what leaves the house and what the AI never does.

Questions

  • Is my data used to train AI models?

No. The model runs at OVH AI Endpoints in Frankfurt; inputs are processed for the request and not used for training. tidemind itself does not train models.

  • Why is there a US provider at all?

For sending email: sign-in links, notifications, the weekly review reminder. Postmark is based in the USA; the transfer is covered by EU standard contractual clauses. What passes through Postmark is what is needed to deliver a mail: sender, recipient, content. Your task data does not go there.

  • Can I use tidemind without any AI?

Yes. Every AI function has a switch in Settings: off, suggest, or automatic. With everything off, nothing is sent to the model and the app works as a plain GTD® task manager with the same ranking, which is arithmetic, not a model.

  • How do I take my data out?

Settings → Export. Everything as JSON, the lists additionally as CSV. Deleting the account removes the data; the exact retention periods are in the privacy notice.

  • Which certifications does tidemind have?

None. tidemind is built by one person and does not hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2. There is no such thing as GDPR certification. What this page states is what the privacy notice and the terms of use state; those documents are the binding wording.

Binding wording: privacy notice and terms of use. This page does not claim more than those documents.
